The Lady Builders will have a tough match-up against the Lady Threshers of Bethel College.
The Threshers are 1-4 .
The Lady Builders are 2-2-1 in conference. The game is scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m.
Southwestern hosted Saint Mary Tuesday. The results were not available as of press time.
Joe Wood, women's soccer coach, said the team has worked through injuries and fatigue and are becoming healthy.
"We've already peaked with injuries and we just started conference games and with the injuries starting to taper off, it's great timing.
"It'll put us right where we want to be for a playoff spot." said Wood.
Wood said they've had changes throughout the season.
"I think the girls have stepped up to the challenge that needed to be made with injuries we've had."
The injuries have been quite frequent, but now they're settling down.
The Lady Builders lost their first conference game Sept. 27 to Kansas Wesleyan 2-0.
Wood said, "It was a 50/50 game. We didn't capitalize on their mistakes when they capitalized on ours and that's how they won."
Amie Morris, midfield, said the loss to Kansas Wesleyan fired up the team for the rest of the season.
"We got it out of the way so now we can do what we need to finish strong."
This past week they've faced four teams in conference: Friends University, Tabor College, Bethany College, and Sterling College.
The Lady Builders faced Friends University Sept. 30 in Wichita. Natalie Snow, forward, and Phylicia Allen, forward, each scored a goal. After two 10 minute overtimes the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Lady Builders defeated the Tabor College Blue Jays 3-0 Oct. 2. Allen, forward, scored two goals, Anna Madrigal, center midfield, scored one goal.
